Mobile LIBRARY

The Mobile Library is at the Village Hall car park between 1200 and 1220 every third Thursday.

The next visit will be on  Thursday 19th October.

EVERY TUESDAY:  THE TODDLERS GROUP  1000 to 1200am

Stress Release through Relaxation.

Simple, immediate and Holistic with Norman Taylor Holistic Practitioner and Stress Consultant. Every other Wednesday Evening at the village hall between 7.30pm and 8.30pm. Please bring a small blanket or yoga mat. Call 899088 for details.

 

THE VILLAGE HALL IS AVAILABLE FOR ALL SORTS OF EVENTS- BIRTHDAYS, PARTIES, SLIDE SHOWS, LINE DANCING ETC. WHATEVER YOU ARE THINKING OF HOLDING, WHY NOT CONSIDER USING THE HALL? THERE ARE REASONABLE RATES AND THE MONIES RAISED GO TOWARDS UPKEEP AND IMPROVEMENTS OF OUR 100 YEAR OLD HALL. TABLES, CHAIRS AND CROCKERY ARE ALSO AVAILABLE.

FOR £25.00 PER YEAR ANYONE WHO WISHES TO HAVE GARDEN WASTE COLLECTED ON A FORTNIGHTLY BASIS MAY DO SO. THIS IS A NEW SCHEME STARTED BY MENDIP DISTRICT COUNCIL. ANYONE THAT IS INTERESTED SHOULD CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICES ON 01749 648999.

PLEASE NOTE:  IF YOU REQUIRE A SECOND GREEN REFUSE BIN, YOU ARE GENERALLY REQUIRED TO BUY ANOTHER HOUSE TO PUT NEXT TO IT.

 


The Local HOUSEHOLD WASTE RECYCLING CENTRE is at Hill Quarry, Dulcote, near Wells (tel 01749 670973) It is designed for householders to take extra refuse and items that cannot be put out for collection. They are open every day except Christmas Day and New years day.

Opening Times: Summer (April - September) 8am-8pm, Winter (October - March) 8am - 5pm
